COLLCERVERA BELONGS TO THE FARMHOUSE CALLED LA PERA, WITH A VERY OLD
HISTORY THAT BEGINS IN THE YEAR 899.
The land of de farm includes, or included, very especial places for us, and we have used their names to identify the several rural accommodations of Collcervera, as a memory of our past and as a light of hope in the future of our environment.
Unfortunately the CINC ALZINES (five oak) (monumental tree) burned in the forest fire that razed all this environment in 1994 and LA VINYA (the vineyard) was cultivated in this land in the past centuries until the outbreak of the phylloxera epidemic that ravaged the Catalan vineyards.
But, fortunately, the FONT DE LA TOSCA (wellspring of tufa) continues to give us water and LA FORANCA is a place very near of Collcervera that is between two stone walls like a canyon, keeping up the humidity and the coldness ideal for coming in during the hottest days of the year.
LA PERA already appears in the settlements of Carolingian Empire in Catalonia whit the name Petra and the proof of it is that the GR-1, known as Historic Trail, that travels through the conquered lands by the Carolingian Empire in Catalonia during the second half of the 8th century, runs through the middle of Collcervera.
